Pop-up Gallery : l’appartement de Magdalena Woll
You enter a gallery transformed into the apartment of Magdalena :
Poetic and short-lived, the scenography transports the visitors into the past and invites us to imagine a story, the story of Magdalena, an imaginary character who’s soul has left its mark on this space.
The Gallery 28 has been completely decorated and transformed by Catherine Jarrier & Lisa Ternon, the 2 scenographers who are befind this project. They have succeeded in giving an identity to the space as though we were truly entering Magdalena’s world. Every detail has been thought through, even the leftover dinner that comes from the the neighbouring restaurant Pétrelle. The chef of Pétrelle is the owner of the gallery.
All the furniture and every object are for sale, from the sofa and piano to the smallest pill box. Local antique dealers have contributed to this scenography. The beautiful wallpaper comes from another local shop.
One has the impression that the occupants of the apartment departed suddenly, leaving behind them the lights on and their belongings just a few moments ago.
A must see….
